Hello there, here I sew items with bright fabrics or African fabrics. I also make beaded items mostly from seed beads, where I like to bring my South African heritage into what I make.

In South Africa, most things are bright and handmade. I believe that everyone needs something bright in their lives, even if you only wear black. 

I was raised in a home where if you wanted something, you had to make it. My father was always in his workshop and my mother`s sewing machine was always on the dining room table where my mother would be passing on her knowledge down to me through the generations. My grandparents were the same with my grandfather in his workshop and my grandmother at the dining room table with her sewing machine, always busy teaching, making and mending. When I was young, a good proportion of my clothes were handmade, making them distinct and unique, which like them, made me feel like one of a kind.
